An Lochan Uaine

Description

(S/F) Start the car park of the Glenmore Visitor Centre. Take the road east-south-east (Glenmore Lodge Road) which passes just beneath the "Reindeer House”. This path runs along Norwegian Lodge then Glenmore Lodge.

(1) Pass by a path on the right and keep climbing into the forest.

(2) After a kilometre and a half you will overlook a lovely little loch called An Lochan Uaine.

(3) After a short stop at the loch, retrace your steps over a short distance and take the path that leads right into the forest.

(4) Take a moment to enjoy the view of the mountains opposite (to the south) where Scots go to ski in winter. The trail then leads to a wider forest road. Continue to walk this road a further roughly 1.8 km to reach the Visitor Centre (S/F).
