One of the Var's most beautiful walks.
This hike climbs Mont Faron on wide tracks and offers a breathtaking view over the most beautiful bay in Europe.
Calculated time is computed with the distance, the height difference, and an average speed of 2.2 mph. For an intermediate walker, this time includes small breaks.
Park at Fort Saint-Antoine on the road that climbs up to the Mont Faron, West of Toulon.
(D) Take the asphalt road for 500 m up to the first red and white barrier on the right, and follow the track that descends in the direction of the quarry (1) . Follow the yellow markers (a single line).
Take the first path on the left (2)and walk on the raised section of the quarry.
At the end of this trail (be careful of vertigo), take the poorly marked, upward trail.
This climbs steeply up to a small wall.(3)
Climb this wall and take the track in the middle that continues through the valley.
Ignore the trail to the left (5)(4) and arrive at the asphalt road.
Turn left and then right on the track, and continue up to the Saint Vincent hut.
After the cabin turn left on the upward track.
Arrive at the fountain (6), turn left, cross the road and climb the track in the direction of the Caserne du Centre.
When you get to the tank,(7)climb the track still in the direction of the barracks (Caserne).
Make a return trip to the barracks. There's a beautiful viewing point over North Toulon.
Take the track in the direction of the Parc zoologique. Pass the zoo and take the track in the direction of the Memorial.
Take the first right(8) on the Sentier des Crêtes and the follow it to get to the Memorial.
Enjoy the viewing point over West Toulon.
Resume the asphalt road to the right and immediately after the cable car station, take the trail down to the left.(9)
Continue on this trail which runs along the road.
This trail winds down and crosses the road several times.
You'll arrive at the fire-fighters' track, where you turn left.
You'll get back to the vehicles after the reservoirs.

A beautiful hike to the heights of Ollioules and Sanary, off the beaten track. Exceptional views over the on the coast of La Ciotat in Porquerolles, and the interior of La Cadiere d'Azur in Revest, the chain of the Sainte Baume ridges and the gorges of Ollioules.
The path alternates between shaded areas in the Mediterranean scrubland and parts where the sun heats the limestones of the La Colle massif.
On this walk you'll discover some of the locations used to film Manon des Sources and Jean de Florette (1986): the Grotte de Mounoï cave, the dried-up stream and the Villa Renard - the hunchback's house.
This route will also let you discover the Vallon des Martyrs, with its monument commemorating resistance fighters executed by the SS in 1944. All along the walk you'll experience incredible Provence landscapes and the Sainte-Baume.
