Description

Leave the Via Alta n°2 taking Herbetet trail opposite the shelter. Cross the torrent over a footbridge and start a short climb up.

Then, head slightly downhill, pass throug a tricky area (1) (handrail) before reaching the first small valley (2) below Bec du Vallon. Bypass it horizontally ending up on a ledge facing Gran Paradiso. Keep to the path with this magnificent mountain just opposite aswell as its just as magnificent glacier. Finally, head down to the small valley reaching the place called Casolari dell Hebertet (3).

Get to the torrent bed and take trail n°22 (4) leading to Vermianaz hamlet (5) and finally Valnontey (7).

"P.S. Even though the route is not waymarked it is straightforward, there is only one trail and the signs all indicate the Valnontey direction."
